“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” A. W. Tozer
As Christians growing in the experiential knowledge of God is a life calling. We understand that knowing God exhaustively is impossible but knowing Him truly is attainable and even necessary because that’s what the Christian faith is all about.
When we mature in our knowledge of God we get to know who we are, what we’re living for and why we’ve been placed here on this planet.
God’s purposes and plans for creating this world and human beings were hidden in His heart throughout the ages until the set time when He came in the flesh to reveal those plans. Today those plans and purposes stands as mysteries; mysteries intended to be discovered by his people. In the New Testament, mysteries are God’s plans and purposes which were once hidden in His heart but now are disclosed and it requires a persistent approach on that part of His people to search them out.
That’s what this devotional is about; discovering the mysteries of why God created this planet and man, in the hope that we’ll see ourselves as we were made to be and know the desires of God so that we could partner with Him to make His dream come true.
When you decide to partner with God, not only do you become known in heaven but also known to the enemy (a threat), and therefore a target for his attacks. But as you already know we’ve won; Christ is the victory. You’re only helping God bring them to pass in this realm. Therefore being firmly established in God and His plans will help us resist the attack of lies, accusation and condemnation from the enemy.
This is why we’ll be going on this journey during the summer period. My prayer is that by the end of this summer we’ll at least get a glimpse (revelation) of ourselves as the picture below.
With no further due, let begin the journey of fascination with God…..
